Tennessee Highway Patrol says excess speeds ‘inexcusable’ over weekend

According to THP, officers recorded speeds of over 100 miles an hour in Sullivan and Washington counties.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Tennessee Highway Patrol officers said drivers’ speeds on Tennessee roadways over the weekend were “inexcusable.”

According to THP, officers recorded speeds of over 100 miles an hour in Sullivan and Washington counties.

“If you hit a deer or have a blowout; at these speeds, what’s gonna happen to you, your vehicle, your passengers, or other motorists,” THP questioned in a Tweet.
